Lagersmit
A proudly Dutch company, Lagersmit traces its history back to the shipyards of Kinderdijk where its predecessor, the L. Smit & Zoon copper and iron foundry, was established in 1856. Exactly a century later, Lagersmit itself was officially founded in 1956. Supreme® brand
Since 2010, the company has maintained its headquarters in nearby Alblasserdam, and following its divestment by Royal IHC in 2014, became a fully independent OEM under its original name of Lagersmit.
Lagersmit stern tube seals fall under the Supreme® brand, which includes solutions for specific environmental protection, extra-safe designs and customisation options. Lagersmit’s innovative range also includes bearings for the stern tube seal, as well as thrusters, gearboxes, and many more high-quality industry solutions.
