Planning the scope of work
RM Propulsion delivers a complete stern tube seal overhaul for your stern tube arrangement. We advise and help to determine the scope of the service required. -
Preparation
After ordering, we keep in touch to co-ordinate the docking schedule, attendance date and delivery of spare parts with the superintendent. We help the superintendent liaise with the crew and shipyard to prepare for the service. -

We use our Ocean Seal® stern tube seal spare parts or your maker parts. -
Overhaul, bonding and repairs
Our expert service engineers carry out a swift and smooth service job. Seal bonding makes withdrawing the propeller shaft optional. Our service engineers can service all common brands like: Simplex®, Kobelco®, Kemel®, Lagersmit® and Wärtsilä®. -
Dry dock or Afloat
Work will take place in the shipyard’s dry dock or afloat, depending on the situation. -
Follow-up
Following the service, we advise technical managers and chief engineers about their system. We provide ongoing support to manage future issues and give you peace of mind. -
